Treating your Grandkids to a nice meal out, just got cheaper. Check out these 10 restaurant chains that offer free kid’s meals – every day of the week. Deals are accurate as of this writing, but it’s always best to check with your local restaurant to confirm if the deals are still valid. Most restaurants have age limits but don’t worry, it’s only for the kids – not the Grandparents!
What kid doesn’t love breakfast for dinner. At IHOP, you are covered any day of the week, as “kids eat free every day between 4-10 pm.” Their current promotion offers one free kid’s entree, for every adult entree purchased through Nov. 3 at participating locations. No coupon is necessary. IHOP has introduced the Addams Family menu, which includes a kid-friendly option ahead of the new animated film coming to theaters on Oct. 11.
2. Marie Callender’s
Marie Callender’s, famous for their wide selection of pies, runs their “Kids Eat Free” program on both Tuesdays, and Saturdays. Participation varies by location, as some restaurants offer it on Tuesdays only, while a few don’t participate in the discount at all. Best to call ahead to your nearest location.
Denny’s may be open 24/7, but their “Kids Eat Free” days are only offered one day per week. Denny’s offers their kids eat free promotion on Tuesday nights, for kids 10 and under. Call your nearest restaurant to find out when (and if) they participate, and you can get up to two free kids entrees, for every adult entree purchase of $6.00 or more.
Norms, another 24/7 restaurant, allows kids to eat free on Mondays (between noon and 10 pm). If you happen to find yourself dining at Norm’s without your Grandkids, you can also take advantage of their 20% off Senior discount (offered Mondays-Thursdays), which can be applied towards beverages, appetizers, entrees, and dessert.
5. Bob Evans
Bob Evans restaurants, known for their excellent sausage, invites children to eat for free, every Tuesday (after 4 pm). This restaurant chain is based in the Midwest and has about 527 locations. Your Grandkids (12 and under) will be treated to a free kids meal, with the purchase of an adult entree.
6. Dickey’s Barbecue Pit
If you are craving barbecue over the weekend, take your Grandkids to your local Dickey’s Barbecue Pit. On Sundays, kids 12 and under can get one free Kids Meal, for every adult purchase of $10 or more. Since 1941, the family-owned barbecue restaurant has offered free kids meals every Sunday and affordable family packs designed to bring the whole family together for dinner.
7. Coco’s Bakery Restaurant
Coco’s, a restaurant chain found mainly in California, Nevada, and Arizona, lets kids eat for free on Tuesdays (11 am – Close), and offers two free kids meals, per adult entree. They also feature a Club 55 menu with “affordable, high-quality entrees & healthier options for our guests 55 and above.
8. Steak ’N Shake
Famous for their burgers and milkshakes, Steak ’N Shake runs their “Kids Eat Free” promotion all weekend long. Children, 12 and under, receive one free Kids’ Plate, for every $9 spent.
9. Ruby Tuesday
Not surprisingly, Ruby Tuesday offers their “Kids Eat Free” promotion, every Tuesday night (from 5 pm – Close). Participation may vary by location, but typically, they offer one free kid entree for every adult entree purchased.
10. Baja Fresh
Baja Fresh Mexican Grill gives away a free kids meal with the purchase of an adult entree and drink. This deal is not currently advertised on their website, but some restaurants offer it on Sundays – so it’s likely your local Baja Fresh may offer it on that day too.
