Emotions are always impacting situations, regardless of if they were more fleeting or cultivated a long time ago.


This relates to not allowing the emotions to activate immediate responses, such as shouting or other similar automatic behaviors. To cut a long story short, it is first thinking before acting, so as to avoid overreacting.


The adult might not completely agree with the actions of the child or with their thoughts. However, parenting mindfully promotes compassion.
