To use white oak bark for an ingrown nail, boil some of the bark material in water. Strain it off when the water has cooled down slightly, then soak a clean rag in the solution and apply it to your toe for a few minutes. Repeat this process several times a day until the ingrown nail has healed. You can also use white oak bark as an antiseptic spray by mixing it with water and hydrogen peroxide then spraying this onto the affected area.

Epsom Salt & Green Tea

Before going to bed, soak the affected foot in a warm Epsom salt solution for about 15 minutes. With any luck, your ingrown nails will be less painful and swollen once you wake up the following day. If this doesn’t work as well as you would like, try adding some green tea bags to your Epsom salts solution. The green tea will add some extra anti-inflammatory power to the mix, which will help reduce swelling and speed up the healing process.
